Film very recommended by ReinoAjedrez for players, children, young people, parents, monitors,...
Josh Waitzkin is a boy of seven years, superequipped for the chess. It could be the new Bobby Fischer, that was unusual champion in 1972. Josh is a normal boy, and it likes to play with the lads of its age. But his father, sport journalist, take themselves very in serious the gift of his son. And the small one happens to play with ' frikis' in the park, to have a particular professor, the superexpert Pandolfini, who will put the too high ribbon to him.
An exciting and tender film, that is worth the trouble in all the senses. Through the watched innocent of a boy, the film describes to the pressure of its parents and professors so that it gives the maximum of itself, and raises in addition the limits to the childhood and the head-on collision of the world of games of this one, with the competitive world of the adults. Narrated very well, with shining interpretations and a rate that the tension without forcing the spectator maintains. It emphasizes the epic tone and the virtues of the child protagonist.
If you wish to see a "formidable and exciting" film (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone), a film "to enjoy and del that to fall in love" (Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times), it does not look for but: it has already found Searching For Bobby Fischer
"An exciting film for all the public, wonderfully interpreted!"
Rita Kempley, The Wasington Post
